Not sure if this is posted in the right section, (mods feel free to move), if you had to save one camera, one lens and one film type from a disaster what would they be, if someone came and said, 'time to get in the bunker you can only take one camera........), you get the picture😀

I will start us off:

Leica M2 with a 50mm and some Ilford HP5

Just a bit of fun😎

I like leica, and right now I have an M2 and Summicron but...as a leica is not a that much reliable camera, and going to bunker means no more service opportunity, I would like to go with Nikon F2, 35mmf2 and Neopan 400. Best film ever.

Nikon F6, 24-120 vr f4, Cinestill 800.

The 800 speed film and VR on the lens essentially allows it to gain 4 stops.
The zoom range gives the package great versatility.

(but actually my real choice would be an M5, CV 35 1.2, Portra 400 cuz it is the best film rf ever made and so fun to use)

Nah. There's a limit to counterfactual conditionals. Several things are more important than my cameras. Then again, selling a first-series Alpa 38/4.5 Biogon on a 12WA would replace quite a few of my other cameras.

Cheers,

R.

Mamiya Sekor 500tl with 50mm f2 and Tri-X.

A bulletproof camera with a lens/film combo that produces beautiful images.

East! A M2 and a good 35 - doesn't really matter which one, most of todays offering are good. A stack of Kodak Double X 400 ft cans and 30-40 IXMOO cassettes. Enough chemistry to process it all. No camera that depends on batteries - as said bunker probably won't stock those.

Leica M-A + 35/1.4 MS Apoqualia + Tri-X
Tiny lens allows the camera to be carried at all times and is good close up and wide open.

Should do a good job recording a claustrophobic cold war like bunk experience.

It's a toss up between my Leica M4 and my Nikon F2.
Sentimentality begs me to grab the Leica with the DR Summicron and goggles.
Pragmatism says I should grab the Nikon F2 with 50mm f/1.2.
TriX on both counts.

I should really be more smart about this though and take my 4x5 with a Fujinon 150mm lens and a ton of TriX.

That's tough, it depends on how bad the expected bunker situation was:

Extremely tough to survive?
Maybe a few tablets, nice pencils, and a good shapener with spare blades.

Moderate level of craziness that precludes using resources for film development?
RX1R II and a stack of 20-30 64GB SD cards. Also a solar powered battery charger and possibly a chromebook for viewing photos.

Lightweight scenario where resources aren't expected to be an issue:
FM3A and late model 35/1.4 AI-S with a bunch of Tri-X and Diafine.
