Well, if it's an unlimited supply of "not my money",

BNIB black paint M2 (some collectors gotta have a new one tucked away)
21/3.4 SA
35/2 v4
50/2 v3

In reality, I'd replace the BP M2 with a different M, likely the M6 I already have.

I found it a lot harder to choose the hypothetical 3 vs the hypothetical 1 lens. Did anyone else? The hypothetical 2 would probably be harder though.

From about 1983-2004 my only 35mm set was a Nikon FE, 28mm Nikon series E, 50mm f1.8 Nikkor and a 70-200mm Tokina zoom and I used it for everything - parties, family shots, holidays, travelling, concert photography etc etc I had to, I had nothing else (well, apart from a Yashicamat 124g).

That did me very well indeed, so if anything I'd probably go back to that as I still have them - though as I've a bit more disposable income these days I might look for a Nikkor equivalent zoom.

The following is my present gear, and I realized I became (nearly) free of GAS :

- M7 0.58
- 24/2.8 Elmarit ASPH
- 35/2.0 M-Hexanon
- 50/1.5 ZM C-Sonnar or 50/2.5 Summarit M

I go out rarely with three lenses. Daily kit 24+50
I add 35 for "societal" circumstances or serious reportage.
Very rarely 24 is replaced by a small inexpensive 90/4.0 but I can live without it.

Well if I just go by what I use most often it would have to be an Edixa Prismaflex and an Enna Lithagon 3.5/35, a Yashinon 2/50, and a Soligor 2.8/100.

Although lately I've been using an Schneider Xenon 1.9/50 instead of the Yashi. Just haven't been shooting much 35.
