My one lens kit for an SLR is the CV Ultron 40mm SL II in Nikon mount. Works beautifully on my FM2n or Nikkormat. The Nikkor 55/3.5 would also be a good choice.
The 40mm Voigtlanders are sublime. 🙂
If I were to take a single lens with an SLR, it would be either:
Contax 159 with a 35/2.8 or 45/2.8
Nikon F80 with 35/2 AF or 28-70 or 28-105 AF zoom Nikkors
Konica T4 with 40mm f/1.8 Hexanon
Nikon FE2 with 35/2.8 or 50/1.8 pancake

Nope to all. I’d been using the 28/f2 Ultron for a few years and loved the output, but wanted something that matched the M2 framelines. Read lots of reviews from the 35/f2, looked at lots of samples, and jumped online and bought one. If I didn’t like it I’d have just sold it on 🙂

Im not sure which is more impressive, the price of the lens or Hermes actually delivering it!
