I've got lots of lenses as it is but I do enjoy buying and sampling new (to me) lenses and there are some intriguing choices around this year:

a) Voigtlander 21/1.8

I have the Zeiss 21/4,5 which I enjoy using but can see a fast 21 being very useful for interior shots at night. I do though have the Voigtlander 35/1.2 and 28/2 which I don't use enough...

b) New Voigtlander 50/1.5 M-mount

I've lots of 50mm lenses and love the focal length. This one is purely on the basis of how it would look on my M3 and I'm sure it'll be a fine performer.

c) Mystery Zeiss

What could it be? I can't ignore it until we know more. I'd like a small 35/1.4.

What would you do? Get all three?

Out of that lot, I'd get the Nokton f/1.5, but if you use your 21mm a lot, and want more speed, then the 21mm f/1.8 probably makes the most sense for you.

Trying to buy no new lenses in 2013. Got the C Sonnar and happy with the 21 4.5. Bought three lenses I didn't need last year.

I have just received a Nikkor f2.5 3.5cm lens for my Nikon S2 but I haven't had time to try it . It looks classy. But that is IT! No more lenses! Unless........

For me it's the mystery Zeiss - I really hope for a reasonably-sized 35/1.4

(Something about the size of the CV 35/1.4 or a bit larger, but with better bokeh and no focus shift?)

WHEN WILL WE KNOW?

My basic rule is this: buy another lens only when I'm reasonably convinced it will give me a look that (a) I want and (b) can't get any other way.

Didn't buy any lenses last year. Probably won't buy any this year either. Then again, I already have 15-18-21-28-35-50-75-90-135.

Cheers,

R.
