Opening of a Canon P?

You wind it clock wise. Once you are done your roll, turn the knob under the shutter release from the dot with the "A" to the dot without. You will hear a spring sound as the film winder disengages. Now you can rewind the film.

I think what he wants to know is whether or not the pin-faced screw that secures the wind lever unscrews in the conventional counterclockwise (left-hand) direction. And the answer is: Yes, it does unscrew to the left.

Actually, I don't have a P handy, but I do have a service manual, and that's what it shows. I also checked an Canon 7s, and its screw unscrews to the left, so I'm pretty confident the P does too.

The screw has two holes in it for a pin wrench, but you probably can unscrew it with a sheet of rubber unless it's really stuck.

Yes, sorry my question wasn´t very clear, but this is what I tried to ask 🙂

Thanks jlw!
