I usually don't post about gear and purchasing stuff but the reason I posted this is to show that my plunge to film seems to be unstoppable and secondly I would like to know from fellow Canadians on how long it usually takes for their order from freestyle to arrive? I selected the airmail option and freestyle did not give me a tracking number. The order was shipped on Oct 16.

I'm feeling quite impatient. :bang:

Anything I order from Freestyle normally gets here to OZ in around seven days ... I don't know about Canada ... is it somewhere near Australia? :p

Since they use airmail for international orders, that gives me an indication of the time line. So far it has been 5 days including the weekend.

I have this bad habit of sometime getting fixated about the delivery of an item bought online.

I feel spoiled that their warehouse (open to the public) is only 5 minutes from my work.:p

That sounds like heaven to me! Sadly with the Oz dollar hovering in the mid sixties I won't be buying much for a while! :(

Supprisingly though Keith, even now it can often be cheaper to buy from the US, even with the dollar's dive and the shipping costs, provided you buy 40 rolls or so.

Well, I received my film today so it took a week. The film was really well-packed and I'm very happy with freestyle.

thanks.

picking up the package was even more exciting than the times that i have bought a camera or a lens.

There's an Arista Premium group in flickr, but there are only 5 members right now. If you have a flickr account, join our group and post your images.

I wanted to chime in on this thread since some of you have bought this film. I bought perhaps 10-20 rolls (both 100 and 400) myself and some of the rolls are great. But then a few of the 100 rolls were 2 stops overexposed. I checked the meter on my contax G, which is generally pretty good, against other meters, and it was not the problem. I then set the iso to 400 on the camera and this latest roll came out perfectly. Have not had any problems with the 400, so I'm suspecting some of the 100 is mis-labeled 400?

Anyway, heads up before you use the 100 to shoot your baby being born or your best friend's wedding.

Interesting to hear about the 100, Wayne. So far I've shot 100 and 400, and have had no problems. I appreciate the heads up though.

Which reminds me...I need to order more!!!

Just Purchase 30 rolls of 400.Freestyle was great to deal with.I also live in Canada it took 10 days to recieve the package which isnt bad.
Have yet try the film as the wheather here has been very very cold.
