Oslo Infrastructure

My (non-photo) real job looks to send me to Oslo for a couple of moths soon. Any RFFers there care to recommend a photo shop, one that might even sell film (35mm and 120)? How about processing?

In my local area (northern New England), I'm pretty much SOL for both...

Film and processing shouldn't be a problem in Oslo. Here are a few good stores:

Takk! (If I spelled that correctly, it's my first electronic word in Norwegian.)

It will be a relief not to have to plan on moving several weeks' worth of undeveloped film back and forth through the x-ray machines. I knew Norway would be more civilized than my home turf. Anything other than low-end print film and processing has become strictly mail-order.

You will find lots of professional film and development within a few hours at StudioTecnika, www.bilder.as

PhotoPhono, www.photophono.no, has loads of equipment and professional films, but i belive they have their films developed at Studio Technika.

Labdoka, www.labdoka.no, is said to have one of the worlds most stabile processes of E-6 development.

All of these are high-end and what professionals and artists use here in Oslo. Prices may be higher than those in the first reply, but not much. Developing a film, being 135 or 120, will set you back approx 60-75 NOK, about $10-12 without contact copies.

I have used Studio Technika myself for the last 2 years and have nothing negative to say.

You also have Interfoto in Høvik just west of Oslo, though still part of greater Oslo. http://www.interfoto.no They do camera repairs.

Both this shop and Fotovideo shop Jarle mentioned sell Leica.
