Off topic, I bought a Rolleiflex 3.5F and geeeeeeeeez this thing is nice, tonality and sharpness are amazing in this format. The lens is a Planar 75mm 3.5F, seems sharper that my H'blad with 80/2.8 Planar. The TLR just had a CLA so I should be good to go for a while, of course now I feel like I need a MF rangefinder so I'm looking at the Iskra's and Moskva so I can continue to play with you guys here at the RFF 😉.
Here a couple from the first roll:

it's gorgeous! and the results are stunning! now I guess I really need to shell out some cash to get mine up to speed

Beautiful! oh, and the camera's very nice also!
Do I detect a couple of instances of "Crud. He's got a camera again."?
Just about the time I think my family has finally learned to ignore me and my gear I do something silly like get the Arax 60 and Arsat 30mm lens out. That combo gets their attention right quick!
Very nice work, Todd.

Yeah, I have 12 nieces and two sons that have been pummeled over the years by cameras older than their parents, so I get the "not another one" look alot.

Beautiful camera and beautiful work.

The Iskra is probably the closest you'll get to that. It's a great camera for being FSU, but it is FSU. And the Tessar as a design is significantly different from the Planar.

OTOH, it has a look unlike any other camera. Match the right films with that Tessar (I've had the best experiances with Tri-X, Plus-X and Reala for color) and you'll get a look unlike I've seen from any other camera - including the Leica and Hassy I've had the pleasure of borrowing in the past. Whether you think it's _better_ is for the gripping hand to decide... 😀 Here's a recent example - http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=13308&cat=500&page=1

Congrats, Todd! It is a superb camera. It is the M3 of TLR's.

(Not to take attention away from your new baby, you did mention a MF RF. In my opinion, the Mamiya 6 is the #1 camera of this type.)

Nice TLR. I have the Yashica A and I love it. These old girls are so easy to learn to use, except for the occassional double exposure.

On the subject of MF RFers, don't forget the Ensign Commando. I have one and these are great too. I have yet to run a film through it so I can't comment too much on them. I intend to use mine over the weekend.

Thanks guys, maybe we should request a TLR forum 😉 !

Gene, I scan med. format on the same old epson 2450 flatbed I've had for years, seems to work pretty good and I can print up to a 13x13" print on my epson 2200 that looks really incredible.
