I'll see you all in a week or so - my darling wife went into first stages of labour with our first child just after Joe's very welcome return.

The Rokkor 40 arrived in perfect time to take to hospital with us so that' s where we are about to go.

Stay healthy and happy everyone. I'll try not to overload the Gallery with shots of our new baby taken with the new lens 😉

Good luck to you both 🙂

Just think a whole new area of photography is now open to you, of course there will now be more competition for your camera funds 😉

Everyone is right when they say your life changes when you have a child. Your life will just keeps getting better from this point on.

Congratulations!!!

Thank you all for your lovely thoughts and well wishes.

My darling wife and I had a little boy by emergency caesar - Benjamin Edward Matjacic Milkins - Born 13:44 10/10/05. 3264 gm, 51.5 cm

Mum and Bub are doing very well. I managed to take 3 cams (only 1 RF) into the hospital, and will post an RF shot when I can find a lab that processes film at 3am ;-)

For a non - RF photo or two (and a bit more) visit

Congratulations!

The opportunities for photos will increase, the time to take them will decrease!

Our little one arrived 5 months ago in the same manner - emergency C-section.

I know you haven't asked for any advice, but I'm going to give you (or rather your wife) some 😀

Tell you wife to take it VERY easy for the next 8 weeks. A C-section is a much bigger operation than many people think. Buy her a stomach brace to help support the C-sectioned area (apparently this is standard issue in some countries, unfortunately not here in NL.). My wife was a bit too keen to get back into things and ended up "doing something". She has only in the last week or so been able to lift anyhting or carry the baby.

So, you're going to have to play slave for a couple of months 😱

Best wishes to all.

Hey congrats to you and Liz, John! As for Leica for Ben's first birthday, he's got three m's in his name so an M3 sounds like a good choice. I'll see you soon after you get some sleep.

😀
