Canada Ottawa-Gatineau RFFers Meetup

Well... it's been a while since the last Ottawa RFF meet-up and the weather is nicer every day. Anyone have any suggestions for another meetup? Maybe something casual? A walk around the market and some beer?
 
Oooh, there's an Ottawa meetup!?

I would certainly be down for a bit of a wander around somewhere. And I'm always down with beer...
 
well we did one in the fall and it was a lot of fun... we met over in Gatineau, the market is really easy for most people to get to though, especially if you're car-less. There's a ton of events going on this spring/summer so I'm sure there will be some good meet opportunities. I work in the market as well, so if anyone else does as well we can do lunch pretty much any time :)

As usual, if you guys pick a date and place I will attempt to arrange an appearance but like last time, being an hour away from Ottawa I might not be able to manage it.

Unless y'all decide to car-pool and hold the meeting in scenic Perth, then I'll be there for sure - in fact I'll provide lunch at my place :)

Hey Jesse - Mmmm Beer. The market or "Parth" would work for me though I could lubricate more at the market as it is only a ride on the #12 away. Say noonish one Sunday? I'm off to Greece for 3 weeks starting July 11th so before then would be best. I'll bring scissors this time or pre-cut the leaders for my bottom loader this time :-0

damn... sorry I didnt see your post earlier Bruce.. we'll have to work out a weekend date once you're back. Still shooting with that Canon Leica copy?

Hi Jessie, yes, still shooting the IV-Sb. Tried to auction it off here but there was no interest. I just picked up a G10 as a back up for our trip to Greece. The wife loves it.
 
really? huh... must have missed that ad.. what were you posting it at? I've toyed with the G10 a few times, it seems like a really nice camera... I'm still waiting for the perfect P&S... maybe a Ricoh GRD... so many camera's so little time. Have fun in Greece and we'll see about getting together when you get back!
 
well it's been quite a while since we did an Ottawa RFF meetup... who's game? Anyone have any ideas of cool events coming up we could meet at?
 
Sounds good to me... let's figure out if there's anything happenning in early september that would be worth holding off for, or whether we just want to find a cool place to meet up!
 
found this in another forum on rff.

Let's dig around and see if we can find a venue and a "wet" place to meet for lunch, swap lies etc.

I've still got that roll of Kodachrome to finish off! And a few rolls of Realia

So last post on here was over a year ago... I'm new to RFs, and would love to do some sort of meet up & shoot. Anyone still active here and interested in an Ottawa meet-up?
