Canada Ottawa-Gatineau RFFers Meetup

is it bussable to Old Chelsea.. I've never been there.. if not I may take you up on that ride offer :)
The STO appear to have a park-and-ride bus to Old Chelsea but it is 15km from the Market so even if there is some other bus it is probably a pain from Ottawa.

Another thing we could add to this meet is a mini swap meet and camera garage sale. I'm probably not the only one with a closet full of equipment that doesn't get enough regular use!

Awww man...

Awww man...

I would love to meet up but for the next 14 months I'm doing an EMBA - which means I have just 3 priorities - family, work and school. Please keep me in the loop if by some miracle I do get free time. I even have a spot for the Old Ottawa South Arts Festival which I will have to just drop this year :(

Cheers,
-Amit

Can someone please post the location of the meeting? Are you proposing to meet at MacKenzie King Estate?

I'm not familiar with "The Farm", and a quick search produced this
"...The Farm is the official residence of the speaker of the House of Common during his or her term of office. Though the Farm is closed to the public, the adjacent Mackenzie King Estate is a significant visitor attraction managed by the NCC, which provides historical tours and interpretation of the restored buildings, gardens and historic ruins...."

Let's meet at 13:00 at Chelsea Pub then continue on to the MacKenzie King estate meeting outside the Tea Room around 14:30.
The Chelsea Pub's pretty busy on Saturday can anyone volunteer to get there earlier and hold a table?

maybe we can figure out somewhere to meet in the market around noon for those of us that are car-less so we can car pool up to Chelsea Pub

BTW - first drink for the provider of the car is on me :)

Chelsea Pub sounds good to me. :)

Hubert and I live on the edge of le Parc de la Gatineau so it's not that far for us at all.

I do not think it's busable. But I could be wrong... Here's a pdf of the transit map for the STO.

I think the rest of you will be coming from Ottawa and the surrounding areas on that side of the Ottawa River? I think the Hubert and I are the only ones on the Quebec side... am I wrong?

Since when the NCC is busable? They don't even have high-speed internet there... (almost NOT kidding).

In any case we can give a lift to people that need, we have up to 3 seats. Just let us know so that we can organise it :)

It's not about age (I'm still 15 at heart) it's about being passionate about taking pictures. You're over 19 I'll buy you a beer ;-). We might be older but that doesn't mean we'll have a better view on life than U!

Drinking age is 18 in Quebec !

Name a spot & I'll pick you up. I'm coming west on Rideau & will have to swing by the Market to get on the bridge.

Ah yes, La Belle Province - Memories of Brador at 8% when I was younger (Thou I'm more likely to drink anything by Unibroue or any other micro brewery these days)

I will remind myself to call and see what they have on tap, etc. There pdf menus do not seem to include a list of beer...
