The worst error handling that cripples the M Monochrom in the cold- the shutter stutter. Fire the camera, the shutter cocks multiple times, to the point where I've dropped the battery . I stopped using the M Monochrom in weather 60F and below. Use it when it is warm, or indoors. Repeatable, and has affected multiple RFF members from years ago. You think Leica would have fixed such a glaring error- but did not. My camera had it before and after the upgrade to the new CCD and sensor board, and still has it. My Nikon N8008 would lock up to the point where the batteries had to be dropped: shoot to the exact end of film. Next shot- no partial advancement, and the camera could not sense it needed to rewind the film. Manual rewind mode incapacitated, and the power switch was non-functional. Lock-Up, drop batteries, re-insert after a few seconds, and immediately press the two buttons for manual rewind.
I suspect Leica re-used that subroutine for the M Monochrom.
