P or 7?

Partial agreement with the last post. The camera isn't as attractive as a black P, just as a chrome 7 isn't, compared to a chrome P.

The price probably isn't too high, based on the cosmetics, and, if it's genuine. It seems OK to me, but my knowledge of these is limited, like most of us simple, average people. The economy may put a damper on this, and it will be interesting to see if there is any action.

Thanks for the link...

Canon 7 vs Canon P

Canon 7 vs Canon P

I do not know why I feel this way, but to me although the Canon 7 generally appears ungainly, the black paint Canon 7 is aesthetically pleasing. I agree the Canon P has cleaner lines, but with the black paint the selenium meter on the Canon is much less obtrusive than is the case on a chrome 7.

Does anyone know how rare the black paint canon 7's are?

Since Canon made 137, 250 Canon 7 models, the most of any LTM Canon model, it should be the easiest to find in black paint finish.
also, black paint finish was popular in the early to mid 1960s more so than the late 1950s.
the Canon 7s and 7s(z) is rare to none existant in black paint.
