Thanks. I am new to the Tri-Valley area and still getting to know it photographically.

Woo hoo! I just had a happy GAS attack... I scored a Pentax 67 kit for a huge discount at auction. It included the following:
Pentax 67II Body
300mm F/4 ED
600mm F/4
135mm F/4 macro
55-100mm F/4 zoom
75mm F/4.5 shift
I think the guy must have been a landscape/birder or something as there was also a second 67II body, a 400mm and a 500mm lens that I didn't win. Crazy stuff. Hopefully I'll be joining your ranks soon...
I don't think I've ever said this before, but this could be too much camera for me...

How have you all done with the straps? I just bought a 67 but it didn't have any, can they be found for a decent price anywhere?

Both times I have bought a Pentax 6x7 the cameras came with the factory strap. Try a Want To Buy in the classifieds here. Or KEH. Or ebay.
Contact Eric. He may have one. Great service on repairs also.

So far I started my P76II kit with a late 55/4.0 and late 105/2.4.
Also have the hot shoe grip and will be placing an order for more stuff later today.
Now my big Fuji's that have inter-changable lenses don't seem that big or heavy. LOL.

Ah, the GAS...
Are these really so good cameras that no one is selling them, only buying? I've had my eye on the classifieds for a "nice little Pentax", but there seems to be none popping in?

www.KEH.com would be one place to look.

Pentax 67ii with 165mm f/2.8 (late), Kodak Portra 400 scanned on Epson 750. Was amazed at how the colors came out, this is literally straight out of Silverfast 6.6Ai using the Portra 400VC profile.

Shot the Mermaid Parade with My P67II and 105/2.4 Saturday. Used a slim Nikon Polarizer to kill 1 1/2 stops with 100 ISO and Later 50 ISO color slide to be able to keep shooting wide open.
Shot some more Sunday and got a lot faster reloading film.
Learned that securing a 5P cable by itself is hard or impossible if you need the ultra short connector for the Hot Shoe Grip to enjoy TTL flash metering provided by the AE prism. Best to buy the cable with the grip. I was lucky and able to return my first grip without a cable, and found a brand new one in original unsold condition in factory wrapping that included the cable.
Also secured a AF500FTZ for a $100.00 with case and instructions.
Somehow secured a 75/2.8 AL off EBAY for $1002.00 plus shipping. Already bought the hood from the same vendor and if its any indication of the condition of the lens its basically new. I feel like my dream came true and know that I'm a lucky guy.
Interesting note is that the Tulip style hood employs a removable trap door so that a polarizer and hood can be used at the same time. BTW I find that the Hot Shoe Grip comes in handy when shooting vertically. I can grip it with three fingers and focus, but it adds nearly half a pound to the camera.
