O_O wow!! Brilliant photo and I love the light. (This looks like one of those cases where the Sky functioned as a very large perfect softbox.) By the way, did you stand atop the wall to make this shot? It looks a wee bit dangerous...

Perversely this may help reduce Pentax 67 G.A.S., because it reminds me again that it's the photographer, not the camera.

Thank you very much Dave ! It was an overcast day, with beautiful soft light ! The wall ended right there, not dangerous at all ! = )

Last March (2013) I found myself really being drawn to some MF work I was seeing produced on various film community boards, flickr, tumblr and such. I had been shooting a few 35mm cameras as a way to enjoy creating on my own and for my self. Whilst looking (read: dreaming of) various camera options I ran into this thread and was amazed by the work here! After browsing this entire thread I went to check on prices and was amazed at the affordability of such a versatile and capable system. Later that same week I was searching and ordering my own P67.

Thank you everyone for posting into this thread! It is the sole reason that pushed me into a P67

Here are a few shots from this last year toting my much loved Pentax 6x7 MLU around California.

They are all shot on Kodak Portra 160 with the 105 f/2.8 or 45 f/4 lens

A wall-hanger! I very much like the colors. And an unusual Pentax lens... I'd guess there were not many of these made.

Thank you for your generous comments Doug! The SMC 55-100mm f4.5 zoom was introduced in 1998 (http://antiquecameras.net/pentax6x7lenses.html), so you are probably correct that there were not many made. It is a wonderful zoom especially for landscapes, but I still need to learn how to use it properly. My primes, 45mm + 105mm + 165mm are a lot easier to focus and get decent results with.

You consider the wider f/4 45mm easier to focus than the f/4.5 zoom? That's curious, and I wonder if the focusing screen just isn't optimal for the slower lens. Hard to think of another possible reason.

But it does stir a memory... I got my 55-100 f/4.5 in 2007 and only used it a couple of times shortly afterward. And I do recall having a harder time focusing. But the 4/45mm, 4/55mm, 4/100mm Macro are all fairly easy to focus so there's a puzzle. I should get the zoom out again.
