Bins of Red Sea Urchins (Strongylocentrotus franciscanus) - Pentax 67II - Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 55mm F/3.5 - Reala 100 par Chris Grossman, on ipernity

These bins of Red Sea Urchins (Strongylocentrotus franciscanus) were just filled from the holds of an urchin diver's boat. Using a small forklift harbormaster stacks the bins three high and loads them onto a refrigerated truck for the trip to the processing plant in Fort Bragg.

Kosta, I carry a Plaubel to travel compact, and the Pentax 67 when I need to remind myself I'm a man. I love the lenses on both.
Nice one, Mike. I still hunger for the p67 and 55/4! But the plaubel is also fantastic to use.

Thanks Bjørn,
Having a major PITA now on self-publishing one of my travel books now. Maybe mid-year if all goes well.
On SFX i've used R25 so far indeed and haven't really felt the need for deeper infrared since I run my favourite film of Efke IR820 AURA parallel anyway with 715nm filter (SFX is to 750nm, so just a very narrow 35 nm band of light will be left). Yet I've always been tempted to test the SFX limits so I reckon a proper 715 nanometer filter test is on order soon with the SFX.
Take care,
Margus
Good. I will be watching out for the release of your travel book!
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Ilford SFX 200, I am wanting to start using this film myself in the near future.
Best regards

First real attempt with the 67 in a crowd. I think the 105 might have been a little too long for my liking. Shooting wide open lead to some tricky focussing. A lot of missed shots and weird blurs in some shots. Also was the first time trying Portra 800. I like the film, worth the money.

Very nice night shot, Colton. Didn't this used to be the Lithia Springs Hotel? I havent been around Ashland since the late '70s so I couls be remembering wrong. I never could acquire a taste for Lithia water though.
