Pentax 67 Gas!

Could anyone help: Is there a split prism focusing screen available for the 67 mlu camera?
Been trying to find out a reference number for one but getting confused...

i'm pretty sure it will not fit the older models
is it better than the multi-prisim not really same brightness just different pattern.

For the older 6X7 and 67 the "Beattie Intenscreen Focusing Screen for Pentax 67"
were the best and brighter than the original ones

I don't have any issues with undue mirror shake either. The answer you are likely to get here to your question boils down to that some photographers are more discerning than others, sniff, sniff, and if your wife doesn't have issues with mirror shake she should be ashamed of herself and get another camera. It's the film version of pixel peepers. Some people, like your wife (and I) are more than happy with the results, just go with that. A look at the photos in this thread should be enough for most people. But, alas.....

Some people sadi that they had mirror shake when on tripod. They said they got rid of it with a more solid tripod or adding weight under the tripod base. Perhaps either your wife use a solid tripod or, most likely as said before, she is happy with her camera results 🙂

I myself dont have any issue with mine, although I mostly use Trix and landscape so mostly high speeds.

I think is more due to each photographer and how steady their hands can be. P67 is a huge and heavy camera and not eveyrone can hold it steady while taking a shot. Personally I can easily go down to 1/30 (inclusive) handheld and I have no problem whatosever (with the standard lens 105mm f/2.4)....i need to be extra careful at 1/30 but I can make it work (I even keep my breath while I press the shutter). I have posted in the past in this thread few examples at 1/30 handheld. I won't repost it. I haven't used it much on a tripod but I have a basic one and I took few shots at 3-4s but with mirror lock before taking the shot....excelent results.

In conlcusion: is possible but maybe not for everyone. I think she can make a test roll and see if she can pull it of below 1/125 handheld.
 
I finally managed to pick up an affordable P6x7 and 105mm last week. It seems they have shot up in value since I stupidly sold mine, and the Pound's collapse isn't helping. To celebrate, here's one from the library probably taken with my old 90mm.

Currently trolling eBay for a 67ii + 55/4 + 105/2.4 + 165/2.8
