I'm also a bike nerd. All my bikes are retro pre V-Brake. Back in the day I was a racer. Now I'm old (60) but I'm 5' 9" and 150 pounds.

Thanks! Yes, two-wheelers are one of my other big passions, since I was 8yo.

Never raced bicycles (motorcycles yes!) but have always loved cycling. I couldn't for a decade and a half because my hip disintegrated and the pain was too much ... but that's repaired now. I cycle on average 10-20 miles per day on the FCC ... absolutely love it. I was always too large a guy to be competitive in racing on a bicycle (6 foot and 215 lbs when fit); I'm working my way back to that level of fitness now, about 35 lbs to go. Problem is I keep building muscle faster than I lose fat... but I can't complain too much. I am 64, after all: it's a joy to become strong again. 🙂

Pentax gear came to me rather late, bought in during the middle '00s. The FA43 was by far my favorite of all the Pentax lenses I owned and used. Having this L43 rarity to use now is just a delight. It truly fits the CL as if it were made for it.
