Pentax Monochrome

I would be more interested in the Pentax Monochrome if i still had any Pentax lenses. But that was long ago and far away... aside from the SMC-Pentax-L 43mm Special (LTM). 😉

Lovely work in this thread!

Your work certainly trumpets the virtues of the 43mm Special LTM! I could wish for a Pentax Monochrome in full-frame to reach full parity when using the 43mm Limited, but it also produces excellent colors, so it does very well on the K-1. I will be shooting that combination more (at least once I feel like putting the K-3 Monochrome down).

I have thought a lot of times about the K-1 + 43mm Limited combo ... and if the K-1 would be a MONOCHROME camera... and if... and if...

Ok, I will keep my mind in peace and keep myself using my cameras.

But I love monochrome cameras... great thread!

Pentax K-3iii Monochrome, Tak50mm/1.4 (8-element)
Interesting. I don’t think I really used my 8-element 50/1.4 that much, but I don’t remember its out-of-focus being so busy. That’s close to a worst case scenario, but still. Interesting.

Give it a try on your Pentax Monochrome sometime. The lens has a remarkable and unexpected repertoire.

One big problem I've found, though: once mounted on the camera, you may never want to take it off ;>

^^ very distinctive building and yet I admit I don't recognize it. That does look like the Smith tower over on the right assuming the scene is in Seattle. Wouldn't it be ironic if that turned out to be the church where I was married, which is in that neighborhood.
