I like that 15mm. I have the HD version and it is provides really excellent tonality.

I knew I needed something in that range. I found this at a good price. I read the stats on it first. Most people seemed to like it. I think it will do the job!

Pentax K-3 iii Monochrome HD 15mm f4, orange Hoya HMC filter.
I like Hoya filters, but aluminium rings are definitely not as nice as brass ones.

Interesting that all our now ancient B&W filters can be used to such good effect on this new Pentax.
I have almost the entire set of those Nikkors, bought at hideous prices when they were the bees' knees for B&all monochrome work so we all had to have them. I ceased using them on my digital Nikons long ago, they gave dreadful results on a D90. Not so sure about a D700 or D800, I believe the sensors had evolved quite a lot by the time the 800s came out, tho' they are of the same 'vintage' as the 90, so who knows?
A friend's widow has a great collection of 1980s and 1990s Takumars collected by her late spouse but never used (and fortunately stored with care) for sale at reasonable prices. So the Pentax range of digitals is now of interest to me.
Will I move on to Pentax from Nikon and Fuji? Or stay with the two and get into the third? Time will tell, and after I've checked out the collection of Takumars (it seems there are +/- 75 lenses in the storage cabinet), we will see.
