Ehm, the K55 1.8 and the Takumar 55mm 1.8 are the same lens optically speaking...different package, though.
Well, that's the Internet lore everybody repeats. However, having owned a handful of each, I can tell you that the SMC Takumar has better micro contrast and apparent sharpness. While the optical formula may be the same (I haven't checked) I think the new coating on the K lenses was different. Color rendition is much cooler, as well.
