Pentaxians... Any out there?

I like that - although B&W, it reminds me of the Georges Seurat painting Un dimanche après-midi à l'Île de la Grande Jatte. Very festive.

Where is that?

Thank you :D

it is my hometown Stafford in England, took my kids last weekend to the playground and they had the fountains on. Parents were sitting underneath the trees watching them.
I had a couple of frames left in my Spotmatic II, I wanted to test my new Takumar.

All from the K-1 II, Pentax-M 1.7/50 and Miyabi color JPEG mode.

Beautiful photos. I especially like Art Deco touches on buildings.

When the K-II was introduced I read the K-I and K-II comparisons and played mind experiments on which one I’d like. Couldn’t reach a conclusion. Mind experiments because at this point I can’t afford either one.

Thanks! I hear you, I still have to part with some gear to even things out. I haven't paid off the no-interest PayPal credit purchase yet. It was a bit of a big chunk for my hobby.

The Pentax thread must go on! I took this one with my Pentax SL, either the 50mm f/1.4 S-M-C Takumar or 55mm f/1.8 S-M-C Takumar, on HP5+, developed by Fulltone Photo.

I've owned many Pentax cameras over the last 50 years...Spotmatic, K2, LX among others. I was disappointed when my local full service camera shop stopped carrying Pentax (now Ricoh). You'd think Nikon, Canon, Sony and Fuji are the only cameras made. Currently I use a K-3 these days with three Limited lenses and and an 18-135. No need to upgrade as it does everything I need in a digital SLR. Otherwise, I shoot film with vintage Nikon S3 and Leica M6.

The K3-3 is a quantum leap for me, I had the K5-IIs and love it but this one is in a different level
I'm still getting used to its quirks but so far is a winner
- Viewfinder is very bright
- Noise and vibration are minimal
-Control layout is logical, but menus were reshuffled and it is hard to rememebr
- Touchscreen it's not something I like much, I had to disable it so that my nose doesn't wrek havoc.

How are you liking the K3 III?

The same lens is available in Pentax K bayonet mount, SMC Pentax 35/3.5:

Chris

It is basically the same design as the AUto-Takumar from 1956 all the way to the K-era
THe M-series is different

35mm is a focal I had overlooked in favor of 28, but I'm changing my mind
