Lightroom is more flexible, and I already paid for that, so no I passed. It also isn’t available, strictly speaking, in Australia.

I went ahead and ordered it anyway
I think it's very interesting
I dont know if the RAW files will be able to be split (like pixel shift or HDR) in DCU5 for more playing

The software does a good job and allows to have many options.
I was testing it from my window while it rains cats and dogs outside. It shows a lot of promise with the ability to change the max, and to create double gradients (white or black lines)
Comparing the results to what I got with my Cokin P a few years ago:

- Color is better preserved (no pink)
- No vignetting
- No dust or fingerprint chance

Now, I have to pay another visit to the old showboat and try to replicate the photo

PS, The camera makes 2 exposures and then asks the user to determine the type of filter (single, inverse, or double) and the location of the "white" and "black" points. The angle of the filter can also be modified.
All this info is in the RAW file as well, but cant be further modified

Recently bought a K5, a DA 20-40 Limited and a F 35-70. Makes a very sweet compact kit that's almost new - 5050 clicks when I got it.

I'm really loving it.

Not a big Pentax fan. However, I have a M42 SMC Takumar 50 1.4 with a S/N that I've not seen ...6124493. Appear to have 8 aperture blades and probably 7 elements. The red line (IR) is left of the "4" instead of the right. Open aperture works on a few Pentax cameras . I bought this at a time when I was interested in a Spotmatic F. Does anyone know when this lens was produced?

IIRC, the SMC Takumar lens were produced from about 1973 until Pentax stop producing M42 screw mount lenses around 1976–77.

All of the 50mm f/1.4 Takumars are superb lenses. I have a seven element Super Takumar and a Super Multi Coated Takumar and they are among my favorite lenses.

Aha, then it should be in the 1971-2 production date.
Those lenses are top notch and can be used wide open in any Spotmatic (only light metering closed)
