people asking to be photographed

I know croatian men are considered very handsome. Croatian nude beaches are also considered the best in the world.I wonder if there is a connection.
i find scandinavian women, especially Norwegian to be very attractive.

Pherdinand, not to step on anyone's toes, but AFAIK, the "working girls" are cheaper in Slovenia than in Italy, so that might be one of the reasons. Another is that Slovenia has many casinos, built more or less specifically for the Italian clientelle, along the border with Italy - so a certain kind of Italian men get their kicks there. And the "working girls" usually operate there, too 🙂

All joking aside, Slovenian girls are close - but close second. You can't beat something that's been grown under the Mediterranean sun 😉

I dare anybody to tell me a place with more stunningly beautiful women than Israel.

UCSD and USD in San Diego, California, or USC in Los Angeles. 😀

I'll agree croatia has some stunning women. One broke me heart.

And finally, on topic, I'm often flattered if someone asks me to take their photo, but like shutterflower (don't know his/her name), it's with their camera and I don't often like that.

Kind of begs the question.. if you're out on vacation somewhere with the rf's.. and you want your own picture taken for the memory.. how exactly do you do explain to the stranger how to use the camera?? *shrug*

Like the cannon comercial from 1937
"I-Class Submarines, 92-Type Airplanes, and KWANON Cameras: All No. 1 in the World"
"Jaffa Oranges, Mirkava tanks and Israeli women...."

I like the twist this thread takes 🙂

So let me think about this.

Newcastle was nice in the '80s, haven't been there sind 89.
Oslo was fun, too.

But I'm mostly atracted by dark hair and big brown eyes. Milkchocolate skin color is a plus 🙂

And to get back to photography, the girls I like best are the worst target for Canons E-TTL in digital SLRs!

Beautiful women all over the world! Saying that "Here are the most beautiful." is like saying "This is the best camera or lens." It's purely subjective isn't it?

Yes Frank, these are all subjective truths about stereotypes.

A close second would be italian girls (in Rome). My gosh! Yet their spoiled-ness is not so beautiful, wouldn't you agree?

Thai woman might be the most beautiful to you but they often wear padded clothing and usually become choleric when they get older. So no, Thai women cannot be subjectively-speaking the most beautiful in the world, especially when you factor in that screaming.

OK. 2 dozen posts about where the most beautiful women live, and only a couple w/ photos attached!?!?
This is a photography site. No?
Socke- I know you must be holding back.

Have done the following before:

If we're quite close together (say with a 35), I focus on them, and then hand them the camera saying "just push the button" - especially good with wides.

Has worked on a number of occasions.

So you can report back on Monday?

They say the reason there are so many beautiful women in southern California is that over the decades, Hollywood has attracted so many would-be starlets, and that has improved the local gene pool.

I think your question was mostly a joke, but I've had an experience like this. I was in Florence with a Canon Demi EE17 (basically a half-frame Canonet with zone focus- 72 shots on 36 roll!) and I had a friend of the family who was showing us around take a picture of my girlfriend and I. I just decided where we would stand, set the focus, chose an appropriate shutter speed, put the aperture on Auto, and gave him the camera, now a point and shoot. By the way, if you've never used this camera, it's a beautiful looking (sort of mod), pocketable camera with a fast f1.7, 30mm lens. Like the Canonet, it can be used without a battery (w/o meter), but what's nice is that the meter functions even when the aperture's not on Auto, unlike the Canonet (oh, and it takes the same battery).

Hey Socke - How comes you get into those persian parties? AND, how comes that the only (other) guy i know in Bremen, has a persian girfriend?
The guy's nickname is Ocsi (i don't know his real name), he is from Hungary and he works in IT, and her girfriend is called Sephira or stg like that. Sephi in short.
You don't happen to know them, do you? Btw didn't hear from him since 2 years or maybe even 3.

Pherdinand, thats easy. I have a friend who used to be the manager in a brazilian and later in a mexican restaurant. He is from persia and since he new that I love shooting on parties, he hired me to shoot for the website. Ok, hired means free drinks and the taxi 🙂

Admission to those persian parties is only for persians or if you're with a persian.

Maybe you find your friend on this website

At the moment the menue works only in internet explorer, I'll talk to Raiman later.

And no, I'm not proud on most of the pictures, but they want them all! No editing and quantity before quality 😀

I asked if there were any women in this crew and the answer was, yes. So I said, yes.

Concerning your question, if asked, I always do it. Why not?

Then why ask if there were any women in the first place? Ich kein verstehen sie.

One of my favorite "tricks"is taking a pic with my yashicamat 124g when people who never seen one stare at it.

One thing I love about using my Rolleiflex for "street" shooting is that people find it so interesting they don't feel intimidated by it. I find it curious. If only I could find a reasonably-priced Beattie screen for it, though...

I think all of these concerns vary depending on which country you're in, and even in which region of the country you're in. Taking a picture of people in London is definitively not as risky as taking one in Paris. Or a picture of somebody in the midwest is not as frowned-upon as if you were in Southern California. etc. etc.
