Wow, usually the efforts aren't so 1/2-assed. Some of the work done on the early Zorkis and Feds is really quite convincing and you need to hunt for the hints that they aren't the real deal. I actually really respect the skills of the craftsmen who do it.

Taking a Fed 3, which looks nothing like any Leica, and engraving "Leica" into it does not a Leica make.

I bet this is a secret prototype of Leica F3, made as a copy of the FED3. You know, those soviets, they had the technology, they were always one step ahead 😀

That is undoubtedly the most beautiful Leica (3b) that I've ever layed eyes on. The lens photo is rather blurred, so it was difficult to see if that was a real Elmacron (26).

See? I hate that. A pefectly good Leica butchered up to look like a FED. And for what? Just to make money. Geez. . . 🙄 With so many perfectly good Leicas being sacrificed to look like FEDs and Zorkis, it's bound to drive the price up on Leicas.
