Petri 7s, stuck shutter?

I've succesfully shot a roll with my petri 7s which I recently bought. And then this morning, after firing off the shutter once, it got "stuck".

I wound the shutter fine but then nothing happens when I click the release. I tried to wind again but it's obvious nothing's happening coz there's no winding sound or that distinct clunk either.

I tried to adjust shutter and aperture rings and noticed that they were stuck as well. aperture just won't move, while shutter can only move a couple of stops back and forth.

Finally I looked at the lens and noticed that the shutter was stuck in a half-open position (see pics).

I tried to open up the camera but I think I only made things worse coz a spring got detached somewhere in the base and I don't know where it's supposed to go (see pics). :bang:

Any ideas from would be appreciated. I really love this camera.

Good news. Bad news.

Good news -- these are inexpensive cameras. Bad news -- probably cheaper to buy another than to fix it, especially if a spring has come loose.

More about that spring. Look at the surrounding parts. You should find one that has a hook or a notch in the side. That often is for the spring.

From looking at your photos, it looks as if one of the shutter blades has come loose. At the very least, it looks like the blades might be binding, although it's always difficult to say with certainty without a hands-on inspection.

That spring attaches to the piece left to shutter set bar...emm..my English isn't good...well, take a look at repair manual, it should help. If you like to tinker, go for it - camera is easy to work on, and if you will mess it up, then as ZeissFan said, it's not end of days.

I don't particularly like winding mechanism and rangefinder, though glass is lovely.
