I had the opportunity to handle the Nikkor 58mm f1.4 - or rather the Nokton 58mm f1.4 in a clone mount of the original Nikkor 58mm f1.4. Exists in a all blck version and also in the chrome "nose" version. I have the previous Nokton 58mm f1.4 and it is an extremely good lens and the new Nikkor look-alike is evidently just as good. The lens that Nikon should have made in 1960 as their 58mm f1.4 (which I also have!) is not their best effort! Looking forward to compare the two versions later this fall.
The E Mount Macro 65/2 felt good too. Very fast focussing on a Sony A7II and doing some "pixel" peeping - looks really sharp. Not a small lens though - but quite light and comfortable.
I did get a production version of the VM Heliar 50mm f3.5. I know some people find it an odd lens - but I find it a/light and b/ as sharp a 50 you could wish for. Interesting lens - the front module comes from the Bessa R2S version with a M-mount helicoid adapted to it. Works very well, smooth focus and easy to hold on a M camera. The aperture ring is the same as the S mount version, hence no click stops. Not really a problem - though with non metered bodies you have to watch that you don't shift the stops inadvertently.
I suspect that some of the bigger companies, Nikon,Canon etc are balking at the cost for setting up at Fotokina. It is easier for them to announce on their websites and they are not constrained by timing. I stopped going there 6 years ago as it become more of an electronics/digital show than a true photographic gear show.
