It looks like what you have shown here, except there is no serial number and no made in Japan.
What is the significance?
I bought the lens at RFF and not from ebay.

Assuming the finder has a six digit serial number (6xxxxx) on the base and looks like this, you hit the jackpot. This finder alone is worth a few hundred dollars.

I am suddenly thinking of a Nikkor-O 21/4 outfit in F-mount recently sold on eBay ; the finder was the original F-mount one but had been hacked (the original female shoe had been cut off and an home-made male shoe had been installed instead).
Is it that one which you bought ? In that case you didn't hit the jackpot.
It looks exactly like what is shown above in the photos. Is it hacked? The serial number is not there.

No serial number on the base means the base has been butchered to fit a normal accessory shoe > you did not win the jackpot.

I hit the jackpot recently, less than US$300.
To mount the F viewfinder on RF camera, you will need a Nikon AS-2. I did that before and I will soon have the RF version.

This is fine. I was after the lens.

It has mirror lockup and metal shutter. So a very good combination for the 2.1cm/4.

This makes sense. I have a Nikkormat, but I don't know which model it is.

I bought a cheap Pixco Nikon/L-M and using a small brass shaped key araldited in the correct position to facilitate the 21mm Nikkor-O. It now sits permanently on my battered M1. I had to slightly relieve the ring that mounts the lens as the Pixco would not allow the correct seating to be made. This is the second version of the Nikkor that I have owned, as TomA states it is a good lens though they don't appear too often. I sold a SA 21/3.4 prior to this lens and have no regrets.
Best,

I have ordered an adapter, but I don't know about how to get and use the brass part that you are using.

Which lens hood type works with tnis lens? How do you avoid vignettong?

For a while I had two 21f4 Nikkors. One is more or less permanently on my S2 with the F-S adapter and the other one was on a black F.
It is a good lens, maybe not a Super Angulon 21f3.4 - but close enough. The finder on the F is a problem as they are off-set slightly - and keep falling off! If I didn't have the F-S adapter I would simply dedicate a F body for it. Probably cheaper than getting an adapter anyway.
Tom,
Do you use a lens hood with this lens?

Will the HN1 vignette with this lens?

The lens looks great on the F2 with the finder mounted on the flash adapter on the side of the camera. I am dyi g to use this lens.

Raid,
The brass part that I used was filed from an offcut that I have laying around its dimns are .2"X.17"X.12" in mm that is 5X4.3X3 quite small. It needs to be accurately placed at 11 o'clock from the vertical.
Best,

Norm,
I would not know where to start working with brass. Give me data, and I feel at home.

I received the camera a few days ago, and I received the finder adapter yesterday. This means that I have not deliberately postponed any photo posting
I will flood this thread with images soon.
