Photos taken with Nikon 5cm 1:1.1 - POST HERE

Jon,

Is your 5cm f1.1... an internal or external mount?

Yep, as Nate mentioned, its an external mount. It may not look as cool as the internal mount version, but I think this is the version to get if one intends to shoot with the lens - less hassles with focus problems.

Some recent shots taken with my external mount Nikkor-N 5cm f/1.1. Its a very sharp lens when stopped down a few stops.

I have to ask... What sort of price does this lens sell for now?

Love the photo's Jon!
Got word this morning that the ship's return to the land of the rising sun would be the 29th of Dec... However, at 8 knot's it will take about 4 week's from Colombo. Keep the beer cold for me!

Thanks Mike. This lens sells for anywhere from 200,000 yen to 450,000 yen or so. More than twice that if you want the LTM version. I got mine for 225,000 yen. Not quite Noctulix territory but still expensive.

The beer is waiting for you!

Thanks Jackson!

I added some more photos so it was me who bumped the thread ;)

It's definitely a lens that is out of reach for me...225,000 yen!!

But the images that it produced are so nice, which explains the price...well of cos the credit goes to the guy behind the camera and lens as well..Nice pictures Jon....don let this thread died away pls!

Bu**er!

I know Tom's hoods for this lens have exotic prices (and are extremely rare) so I had to ask what this lens worth in the current market.

This is definitely a keeper, though I doubt you'll ever tempt me to the dark side :)

Has anyone tried this lens on an M9 with adapter?

Does it work?

Or is the rear of the lens too large and bumps into the RF cam?

Vick

This lens did not mount on my Amedeo adapter or an original Orion adapter I tried. The rear element is too large.

Some more shots from the fastest 50mm lens from Nikon!
