Picking up a new Elmar 50/f2.8 M!

You guys keep this up, and you will have me shelling out for the new Elmar-M! I did pick up a nice f/2.8 bayonet, mount Elmar from, I guess, the '70's; and I have the 3.5 Elmar in screw mount for my IIIc. They are fine lenses, too!

detail nice and crisp right out into the corners- this is at about 4 or 5.6 if I recall.

Here, wide open shooting pretty much right into the sun, only a slight bit of flare.

You're right, focussed on the window shade at the MFA in Boston. Nice detail right into the corners.

The lens came today. I ended up paying $585 and it is "like new"! I think that's a pretty good price, isn't it? I hope to get some time out with it this weekend. It looks sooo natural on my black chrome M6 TTL too. 😀

That's encouraging to hear about not using the hood, as I would rather not use it if it doesn't matter much. I think I'll try a test and see how much I can get away with. 😉
