Just got this very clean ZM! All I can say is wow, what a viewfinder!

God these ikons are aesthetically pleasing cameras... so angular and modern, yet elegant and functional...

Anyone else think the hexanons go particularly well with the ikon? They look like they were 'meant to be'!
 
hmm black paint? think its black chrome. Have a friend who had a black one.. a few scratches and knocks showed chrome under. However it might be a brass plate under the chrome? no idea =\

anyways its chrome/silver for me! =)

i like the chrome one too, already regret selling off mine.
btw that viewfinder looks really huge on the zeiss ikon
 
I remember seeing a picture of a well used black ZI here, looks pretty nice.

The chrome ones, on the other hand, are silver paint on alloy. Tiny paint losses would make it look cheap..
