Really low contrast. Is it from spherical aberrations wide-open or just fixed haze on the elements?

My glass looks quite free of haze. I'd say yes, this is how this lens looks wide open, and so was taken this new pic. But then again of course I only have experience with this, one copy of the Canon LTM 1.4/50.
