Thanks for the postings of pics with various lenses. I owned the Oly EP1 for a couple weeks before taking it back to the store for an exchange/refund. Besides no EVF or built in flash I was particularly disappointed that my prime lenses made no significantly better images than the stock 43s Oly zoom lens. Perhaps my expectations were too high. I have choice now of a bigger DSLR like the Nikon D90, or the Panny GF1. I am leaning towards the GF1 due to sized an the fact that it has an EVF!!......But, I was reading earlier in this thread about some folks being disappointed with the EVF. My QUESTION to them is: What didnt you like about it??!!
Thanks, Gary
Thanks, Gary

Hey Nick, I recognise that fence and hedge anywhere, its Richmond Hill isn't it?
I was there around lunch time this past Sunday, very nice day, bit windy.

The GF1 looks pretty funky with Leica R glass mounted.
Here are some images taken with the GF1 + Vario-Elmar 35-70mm: http://adventuresinphoto.com/2009/11/01/panasonic-gf1-lumix-r-mount-adaptor-leica-vario-elmar-r-13-535-70/

Hi Gary,
I like the GF1 for its size and fast use. Even the automatics work well, to my astonishments. I usually hate automatics. Image quality is great, especially through RAW. The native Panny lenses are light, strong and great. I got the 7-14 before I made the final choice between the Oly and the Panny. And last but not least I like the ability to mount every other lens I might want to use on it, with an adapter.
The EVF works well. OK, not as high res as the back LCD, but it works. When using fast lenses wide open you should use the optional magnification for precise focusing. But with M-cameras you should take care with such focusing too.
Go for the GF1!
