PQ Universal = Ilford's PQ Developer for Paper.
This was a universal (film + paper) developer until Ilford decided to market it as a Paper developer.
This is a very economical developer, as the mix is usually 1+19 or 1+29. It is also very high constrast and produces grainy photos. I was experimenting trying to get a Daido Moriyama look (super large grains + contrast). I am still experimenting so I will reserve my comments on how it looks with Plus-X etc.
