I have a Leatherman Supertool and a Victorinox Swisstool which I use often on PCs. Once I sawed off a screw on my 1972 Minis exhaustpipe with the saw from a Swiss Army knife on a parking lot at the autobahn. This and ducttape got me home 🙂
As far as knifes go, I have a south afrikan Explora Survival knife, sort of a High Tech Rambo knife, a small Gerber Commando, Kershaw amphibian and a handmade Puma Gamewarden.
The Explora is a souvenir from my time in the navy, the Gerber and the Puma hunting tools, the Kershaw is from the time I did Scubadiving.
As to responsibility and dangerous items, I own guns which are properly registred with the authorities and I keep them in a place where they can't get stolen easyly, at least I hope so.
We had some shootings here in the last six month and the shootins took place with unregistred weapons from the black market, given enough criminal energy you can get any weapon you desire and those in need of guns don't mind if it's a nice '98 Mauser, Pistole 08, Broning 1910 or Magnum Research Desert Eagle, a Tokarev is just fine and goes well with the east block handgranades they get from the same source.

Folding Tasker style Solingen pocket knife, rosewood with a carbon steel blade had it 25 years now; don’t carry it about a lot what with the new laws. Being a responsible person I don’t see why I should have to comply to someone else’s rules; as others have commented, obviously I would never compromise my judgment with alcohol or anger would I?
And how are our children to learn self control without firearms around the house, nothing there for a teenager to resist after a few drinks, more government meddling.
And then there’s the Iran thing, without their reactors how are they to acquire a responsible attitude to fissionable materials, after all it’s just a tool that will be handy when the oil runs out!

I honestly have too many knives to list here, but for EDC I used to use a Spyderco Chinook, which was a special order knife not easily found. It had a G10 handle, and a thicker blade and tang than typical folders. Sadly, mine was stolen from my luggage from either a baggage handler or a TSA guy a few months ago.
Now I'm carrying a Bob Terzuola blade.
BTW, there's a good custom knife show in NYC this coming weekend (Nov. 10, 11, 12)

pocket knives: Two Victorinox knives. Both are multi-tool types. One is the classic "Swiss Army Knife" and the other is the new Multi Tool by Victorinox, something about "Spirit". It is nice.
I also have a K-Bar. Love it.

I usually have a small Victorinox Swiss Army knife or a Leatherman Micra on my keychain. Drives me nuts being without one of them when I have to fly, hopefully sanity will eventually return to security guidelines. They're just such useful tools to have around.

Leatherman & a Crawford Kaspar locking folder. The base Leatherman is a good tool, the knife was a gift from a friend and is adequate, but still a poor replacement for the Gerber Fairborne-Applegate folder I had till said friend lost it while using it to field dress a white tail... Ah, well...

Reciprocity Failure
I finally settled on carrying a Spyderco Police 3.5" (half serrated). It's thin, quick, and can cut through a seatbelt in a hurry if needed. Probably the nicest "daily user" knife I've owned.
I also have a standard leatherman in the big camera bag for ultilty, and a leatherman micra in my small bags. I keep meaning to file down the mini-screwdriver on my micra to the size needed for RF adjustment on the P. 😀

I carry a Laguiole with a rosewood handle and a corkscrew. It's proven handy on a number of occasions. I got it in the Dordogne when I was on a dig there one summer. Every farmer had one in his pocket.
I forgot I had it in my purse while going through airport security a few months back. All I could think while I was waiting in line was that they'd find it and confiscate it and I'd be really really sad -- and then they missed it. I was relieved but also somewhat alarmed. It's a little bit too big to miss on an x-ray.

The cork screw would have been very blatant on xray. The drone at the controls may well like wine too and let it pass by as a result.

I get nailed everytime I try to go thru security at Seoul, Korea's Incheon airport w/ a Leatherman mini. Fortunately, they keep it and give back to me on my return.

Common Spyderco Delica clipped to one pocket, and a Spyderco Dyad Junior (two blades, one serrated sheepsfoot shape and one plain-edge clip point; handy tool) in the other. These used to slide right through airport security without objection, but obviously no longer. Now they go into checked luggage.

Rosewood Laguiole with brass bolsters, 11cm blade. Ever since they made me take the Uighyr knives out of my *checked* luggage at the Kashgar airport in 2002, no knives go on trips.
