Does anyone know of a polarizing filter that will fit the CV 90mm with the hood also attached? I have B & W 39mm 'digital' polarizing filter, but its rim is too fat to allow me the screw on the hood as well.

Hello:

The leitz polarizer came with a hood and is a good Rube Goldberg/Heath Robinson solution to viewing filter effects. It has been mentioned here recently

OK, this may sound daft so apologies in advance.

Use a cheaper Cokin or Kood square resin polarising filter and hold it to the eye, being square its easy to remember the angle. Just hold it in front of the lens at the same angle to take the shot. I do it all the time with red and yellow filters for black and white shots. This is also a lot quicker than taking the hood off adding filter and replaceing the hood. Beware of glare when shooting into the sun though.

Hope this helps.
