Polaroid Thread

Yes, FP-3000b is out of production, but there are still stocks available. Prices have soared; it's still available for a little while. Buy while you can. I bought 25 packs when Fuji announced it was no longer being produced, still have a bunch.

I just tested the Polaroid Big Shot (a dedicated portrait camera) I was given last week with some FP3000b and no flash. As long as I can get illumination up to about EV 14 @ ISO 3000 on my meter, I can get a decent image with the Big Shot. I ordered some Magicubes ...

The Big Shot didn't take regular Magicubes.
I had one (I was 12 years old!) and it took "Sylvania High Power Flashcubes" and some odd batteries in the interior of the camera body, to power them up.

The Big Shot does use Magicubes, no batteries required. The Polaroid 450 used the High Power Flashcubes that needs batteries in the flash unit.

As said in another post, this is incorrect. The Big Shot here on the table in front of me certainly does take Magicubes and has no battery compartment anywhere.

Liking your duochromes, Robert, as well as the FP3000b work that's been posted. Nice stuff!

I have the itch to do a lot of photography right now, but my mobility is a bit limited for the next couple of months. Perfect time to do Polaroids around the house. 🙂

Thank Godfrey, I went on a two weeks holiday with only a Polaroid 600 (and a few packs of film, some very old) and the Land Camera with (Fuji FP100 silk). And my wife, of course 🙂
It was fun and relaxing!
