A recent set ...

all: Polaroid SX-70 + Impossible Project 600 B&W (round frame)

I used a film plane mounted ND filter gel (also from Impossible Project) to use this film in the SX-70. It's probably the most seamless way to use the camera with 600 film, although it's a bit fussy to install.

enjoy,

So nice to see this thread alive again!

My contribution, Polaroid Land 340, Fuji FP100C silk, 1 flash studio, Epson V600, minimal LR adjustement.

hi Raid, did you receive your Fuji film pack? For your info on my camera, which is the 340 I made the bobby pins trick to avoid the problem of Fuji photo jamming: simple enough, doesn't modify the camera in a permanent way and it seems to work ok (I only tried one pack so far, Fuji FP 100 silk, not yet tried one of my precious FP3000B B&W, only 5 packs left!). You can see instructions with 2 photos here . I'm sure with three girls at home you'll find the necessary material :) I had to go out and buy it!

Im now trying the low light possibilities of the Land cameras in conjunction with the Fuji Film (100 iso). The two were shot handheld (no tripod mount in the 340). Of course not correct photos but in some cases the blurred look can be useful. More test in the next days! Both photos scanned (V600) and slightly recovered in LR.

I just received three pack of the Impossible "Third Man Records Edition" for the 600 camera. it's a version of the duochrome film which gives a black and yellow photo. Just having some fun !

PS: don't shoot on the model: she's my wife!

I need this info, Robert. Thanks! Yes, I have received 6 packs of the 100c, and I am planning to try out my Model 250 this weekend, if possible. You seem to be exploding with your Polaroid productivity. I am very impressed.

Fooling about with some Impossible Project Cyanograph 600 film a week or two ago ...

Polaroid SX-70, Cyanograph 600 film (with ND filter)

Fun stuff!

"Third Man Records Edition" ... I like it, Robert! I've got some of that coming in to work with.

I've been carrying my Polaroid SLR670m by MiNT the past couple of days, using it with 600 BW 2.0 film in it (with an ND filter).

I may just buy an SLR670a as well; I find the manual exposure capability to be less important than easy compatibility with 600 film packs. I'm managing with ND filters, etc, but it's a bit klugey.

I’m on the fence regarding IP’s special effects film (cyanograph and third man). Haven’t bought any yet and I’m not sure I will. I do love their new 2.0 stuff, be it B&W or color. I heard on a podcast though, that IP has thrown the new 2.0 color film into the trash can and is starting over from scratch on a new film. Not sure when that will be coming out.

I find the special effects films fun for a "once in a while" shooting spree. To me, they're kind of like using*pinholes, lensbaby, toy camera, or fish-eye lenses: occasionally fun, interesting results if you work at it and adopt the aesthetic with a particular intent. Most of the time, however, I prefer to just use the regular B&W films with either traditional white or black frames.

Interesting about the color 2.0 film. I have a pack or two of the beta version left and have been generally pleased to see the progress they've made with it over what I was shooting with a year and some back. I presume from such an action that they have something better to offer ... Can't wait to see it.

A friend gave a Polaroid SLR 680, and I tried a pack of Impossible film. It was not "special effects" but the results really sucked. I am not sure if the film was that bad or the camera has problems - the results were really muddy and not at all sharp. I thought it must be the camera until I went to Flickr and saw others getting the same results.

Are any versions of it any good and can they riva Fuji results, or is it really more for the lomo types? Not there is anything wrong with that, I just want to know what to expect!

I really like the new IP 2.0 B&W films. Maybe a tad high in contrast, but a major improvement over their earlier stuff. I photographed a wedding back in June and shot a few packs of 2.0 B&W in my SX-70. Picture-wise, they were by far, the hit of the wedding. People were clamoring to have their pics taken with my SX-70, and didn’t care at all about the pics I took with either of my digital cameras.

Here’s one taken at the wedding.
