Nice shots guys. tmfabian -- those shots look extraordinarily film-like to me...if you don't mind sharing, how did you convert them to black and white? The first one in particular looks very much like Delta 100 to me...

It's a lightroom preset i finagled from just trial and error, but it basically involves an auto grayscale conversion(i know ... blasphemy, but lightroom's auto grayscale is pretty banging.), adding a medium strongish contrast curve, and maximizing the histogram so there's no or as little as possible clipping.

Thanks for the help. I have also found that the lightroom conversion is very good...I will see if I can improve it along the lines that you mentioned.
