Yeah, I think you're absolutely right. I'm revolted by cat photographs generally. They,(the photo's) are way too common as well as smug... like self pics of the photog aiming the camera at the viewer. Ugh!

So, I propose we all contact our Congressional representatives and demand a new bill advocating for the removal of all cat photo's on the Net. They'll be sure to listen as they love legislating new bills. Also suggest making it a crime to shoot images of cats as well since it trivializes the serious nature of photography and influences our children to take ever more banal photography, thus weakening their artistic sensibilities, which if one thinks about it is the true foundation upon which our culture and civilization itself is predicated. Gulp! Horrifying really...

Ah so the cat bashers have arrived. I suppose that any animal, cats in particular, are among the most challenging of subjects to shoot. They seem to dislike that big eye pointed at them. Yes, 99% are photographic rubbish but prized (and rightfully so) by the owners. The rare 1% are spectacular indeed and a great accomplishment to capture on film or sensor. Patience and luck.

These were all taken with the Bronica ETRSi with 75mm lens. The Bronica isn't an easy camera to use for cat photos because the mirror flip is so loud.
