Another with the Sonnar.....stopped down to f/8
Girls can cast too......
It looks over sharpened now that I posted it.....didn't look that way on the monitor. I'll have to look at my export settings.

Super duper sharp ... and I thought sonnars are landscape lenses.

I love to use this camera with a macro lens. It's always so heavy with some of the DSLR setups, and the GXR is quite heavenly sent just for the occasional flower portraiture.
This one's taken with a Panagor Macro lens wide open with a PK-R/M adapter from Kipon.

Rich,
Really nice B&W work with the GXR. I've been traveling for a couple of weeks and just trying to catch on the fora activity now.
Best,
Carl

Rich M what staggering shots. I looked at one of these GXRs a couple of days ago, but I shouldn't let your talent sway me.

Very nice Rich. I've been looking for a 50 Sonnar, but they are difficult to find as are most Zeiss ZM lenses.

Damn, Rich's shots sure make we want a GXR M module. Been holding out till some of the more recently announced cameras hit the streets so I can make a more informed decision (not to mention the "rumor" about a 16MB GZR M module). But after seeing Rich's shots I want one now!
Mahalo nui, Rich, for sharing such gorgeous work. And would you mind sharing where in the islands you're finding such interesting subjects to photograph?

I just got my GXR-M and it is fantastic, coupled with ZM 35/2 gives amazing sharpness corner to corner. I am really happy I went the GXR-M route rather than NEX-5n or XPro-1.

Richard G.......thanks for the comment. VERY much appreciated!
Vrgard.....Thank you.....personally, I wouldn't wait for the 16MP GXR module. Grab a 12MP GXR now and start shooting....Ricoh hasn't even made a formal announcement on it yet, anyways.
I say this from the perspective of having recently shot the NEX 5N (16MP)...there is no comparison in my mind (the GXR being the better camera to shoot M-mount glass on).
BTW.....all shots were taken on the island of Oahu.....all North Shore vicinity......from Mokuleia/Kaena Point to Waialua to Sunset Beach.
aleksanderpolo.......Zeiss ZM glass and the GXR are a heavenly made match. The lenses I have shot or seen shots taken with that are special are the 18/4, 25/2.8, 35/2, 50/2 and the 50/1.5 Sonnar. Happy shooting.

More Sonnar (all shot wide open).....these building interiors are really dark. It suits the properties of this particular lens.

The 25 2.8 ZM is really a wonderful lens. Oddly, I love shooting this thing at night. It's not wicked fast, but still wicked sharp, and gives a wonderful 3d quality to the images. BTW, I never really believed in the 3d thing (they said the ZM 50/2 had it, I never saw it) but the 25 really does seem to do the trick, and now I believe in its 3d qualities more than I believe in those of The Phantom Menace.
I have a Zeiss G 45/2 on the way from conversion to M mount...can't wait to get it and give it a whirl on the GXR. I used it pre-conversion on my Nex 5n and it's another crackerjack lens.
I hope to have images to post soon! Keep the thread up, it's great to see what people are doing with the Ricoh.
