*** Post your Kodachromes ***

This is the kind of childhood shot we all are entitled to! Thanks for sharing, brilliant shot!

Hi Vicky, how's your Free Kodachrome project coming along?
I have half a roll left and will probably be sending off to Dwayne's within the next month.

Like those shots of yours, particularly the first!

Thanks :) I shot them both on on Sunday as it happens, also in Milton Keynes with the remainder of the second roll closer to home :) Will send them off today too! Yay! :D

OK, dumb question here. I have recently obtained 20 rolls of KM-64. I don't shoot chromes that often, so how long do I have before processing of this film is no longer available? I am in Australia.

Thanks.

This was shot on K64 15 years ago. The orange kitten is my old fatcat, Simba.

This is my kitty now. Not a Kodachrome, unfortunately. Shot with a Nikon D70.

Here are a number of shots taken on the 2 rolls I shot that were sent kindly to me. I shall be preparing a print soon... :)

All taken again for part of my Impression Milton Keynes project. I have 14 rolls of KR64 left now... Should be enough for the remaineder of the IMK project:

Thanks for that. I just hope our stores here can access the appropriate chemicals just like our Bigger Brother until that promised date.

I don't think anyone but Dwayne's in Kansas, USA does the processing. Not with any certainty, at least.

Is that so? If that is the case, then I think I might have got myself 20 rolls of very expensive film :)

Anyone in Aus who can confirm that they can get Kodachromes processed in country?

Otherwise, I might have to put the film up for free grabs to US RFF associates.

EDIT... I have just read this from http://www.photoreview.com.au/news/productnews/kodachrome-finally-taken-away.aspx which also confirms that Dwaynes is the only place left. Also...

"Unlike other colour films, Kodachrome is based on black and white film technology. The three primary colours that mix to form the wide colour gamut are added in three development steps rather than built into its layers. (So it may in fact be possible to have rolls of Kodachrome processed as monochrome film after Dwayne's de-commissions its venerable Kodachrome processor.)"

Sounds like an interesting experiment possibility... B&W chromes ?

Not mine, I don't have any, but want to share the below one which I think is a very good example of the true beauty of Kodachrome (seen at shorpy): - sorry, could only post in original size -
