Love that windmill shot. Wish I could convince my wife we need a print of that somewhere...

Thanks..:)

A funny story behind that one, my childhood friend lives out in Pawnee Rock, KS near where this was taken. Earlier that week, we went and bought a cheap mirror from Walmart in Great Bend and drove out to get the shot but broke the mirror by getting a little too rowdy on the dirt roads. So we had to get a new mirror and wait another couple days for it to clear again. The night I did the shot, it was colder so the mirror which was on a 5 gallon bucket progressively frosted over, I never noticed it and the last 3 frames of this scene were toast, this one has a hint of frost but luckily worked. You can see in the reflection the star trails steadily losing intensity as the frost takes over....

All my Kodachromes I shot in Iraq were exposed with my M4, mostly with the 50mm DR Summicron. This is later in the second siege of Fallujah, so maybe about the third week of November, 2004. Most of what I shot up to that time was Plus-X.

There are only 19 scans in the album so far and some are rather mundane but I'm trying to get most of my record of being there online. Though I did censor out a few more graphic images I took. A few of these made it into my book but as black and white images.

A few years ago I found a couple rolls of Kodachrome I exposed in Fallujah and have been meaning to run them through some HC-110 just to get the images in black and white.

Kodachrome 25, Leica M4P, Summilux 75mm f1.4. 1986
Ayers Rock (as it was known then) early morning, before the flies woke up!
Australia was one of the great places to shoot with KM 25. Great vistas, lots of light - and cold beer after having lugged the cameras around.

Just unearthed these old slides to find Richard Thompson and Danny Thompson on Bass playing Bumbershoot in Seattle. It was a wonderful show, as was to be expected!
