Araki Nobuyoshi is showing at Hiroshima MOCA ... This exhibition contains 461 groups and 1,035 individuals ........ It is amazing to see so many portraits ... also had a short film showing Araki at work taking all the portraits .... The way he put people at ease to bring out their essence ,knowing when to click the shutter .... He was using a Pentax 67 ... really enjoyed myself that day ; )

FAB Shots Shiro kuro,

Some excellent photos in this thread! Too many for me to mention. Nice portraits from Paul T; Borghesia, your colour shot is very intriguing; Historicist, GoneSavage - great shots; furcafe - that one works for me. Etc...

I'm surprised how much I like the Hexar AF and I must put more rolls through it. I ran a couple of Ektar 100 through and I love the colour in some of the shots - give a creamy depth mated with that lens.

But lately I've been shooting b&w, developing myself and scanning with plustek. It's a camera I want to carry with me and get to know thoroughly.

I'm really enjoying this camera. Friends/colleagues think it's a bit weird to pay £300 for a film camera these days but I don't regret it at all - I don't think there's a digital equivalent that can be had for less.

Frank is absolutely right. There are reports that the camera was optimized for wide open, I try to shoot it that way. It's my ultimate low light machine!

I use Kodak Tmax400, the new TMY-2 version. I develop it in a simple home made developer made from soda, vitamin C, and a little dimezone-S. It's basically a variation of Patrick Gainers recipes. The negatives are scanned in my minolta 5400. I can give you the details on development if you like.

Just as Frank said, perfect for close up, wide open interior pictures.
Unfortunately, once it is dead the only way to repair the thing is to cannibalise parts from another dead one.
Or to buy new working one :D
