I received my black Hexar AF a couple of days ago and I shot a test HP5+ roll right away. Knowing that it would be dark, I pushed it to 1600 ASA. Here are some pictures:
It was my first time pushing HP5+, and of course my first time using the Hexar. I'm quite pleased with the results, though I think I need to read the manual to better understand the P mode: I set the max. shutter time to 1/15 thinking that the camera would go even slower according to light availability, but I guess it stopped there, as if that time was the slower time allowed, because some pictures in a very dim lit environment turned out to be severely underexposed. Anyway, boys that camera is silent! I was in a club for a classical music concert and took a couple of pictures completely unnoticed. Conversely, there was a DSLR photographer just behind me who kept shooting pictures all the time, that loud mirror slap was so annoying!
I think I love my Hexar AF

Every time I think about selling my Hexar, I get an email to say that this thread has been updated. It's always updated with photos that make me change my mind!

I'm having a lot of fun with my new Hexar!
From a HP5+ roll I just developed:
Bokeh is nice, though not the best one I've ever seen. I actually prefer the Nokton 40mm f1.4's one.
Hexar does long exposures too!
Super silent mode allows to shot completely unnoticed

Silent1 I really like the first two of your last post. I had a look at your blog - fabulous stuff. Some beautiful compositions and ideas. Keats' tombstone, the museum foyer interior with dark figures suspended in a translucent structure, the stunning backlit seated figures with the huge Roman numeral clock above. Post some more of this on RFF please.

Just looked through this whole thread. What it reinforces for me is that 35mm is the perfect focal length (IMHO and YMMV).

Playing around with the multiple exposure mode. I moved the camera a bit, so it is slightly off, but I still like it.

It is a real pleasure to browse this thread, thank you all for sharing.
If it would not be for the size (Hexar AF is just too large that I need) I would not even think about the digital options.
