Post your POS car ugly and rusty junker

This was inspired by Vince’s image of the pickup with the cross. I remembered I’d been intending on making photos of these for the last seven years and was out and about today and took my camera.

I need to go back and take better images but this will have to do for now.

Both shots are five minutes from my home and within thirty minutes there are several more. There’s no shortage of rust here in East TN. Farmers have a habit if parking their old cars, trucks and tractors in their fields and forgetting them until they’re nothing but rust.

Anybody have pictures of their own junkers that are actually in driving condition? Or are we embarrassed to show what we actually drive? :)
I’ve owned a few but no junkers at the moment. I had a rusty Pinto once😁
I owned three Pintos! They were far better than the Vega I had for three months. Only photo I have of that P.O.S. has not been scanned, and it would take me at least a couple of days to dig through my boxes of old photos to find it. Instead I'll submit a photo of my Ford explorer after it was hit by a little old lady in a Chevy. The damage doesn't look all that bad, but it was the beginning of the end for the truck. Most of the front body parts had to be replaced, and afterwards the transmission and engine started acting up and I decided not to spend anymore money on it.

It was my favorite vehicle, but in the end it was falling apart from the inside out.

That car sitting on top of "Mototest" is not exactly a great advertisement for their services. :) The car looks American, but considering this is Moldova, I'd be surprised if it were.

This was mine about 15 years ago (63 Falcon with a 144 inline-6 and a 2-speed Fordomatic). It was definitely rusty and had dings here and there, plus a dulling Castilian Gold repaint. Someone rear-ended the car at some point in its life, and a tree fell on the roof of the car during a snowstorm, putting a nice dent in it just above the driver's door. But I managed to put 100,000 miles on this puppy over a 10 year period, and I don't think in all that time it ever let me down.
Wish I still had it.

Beautiful image! Classic.

48 was a great year for me, the Wyatt I was born. 😀
Thanks @x-ray. They dressed so impeccably back then - like movie stars - even though they were blue-collar workers (my Dad became a cabinet maker after his semi-pro Portrait/Wedding Photography career).

I have many beautoful pics he took from that era. Some day, when I have time, I will scan and share.
