Interesting topic. I don't understand why we won't be excited about stuff we haven't seen before or understand yet. Considering that we humans have been exploring our deep oceans with fanciful robots and machines for years and yet we probably still have not "fully understand" what's down there, I choose to believe there is possibility of ETs and UFOs out there in the space (though I have not seen any YET) because the universe is so big and we humans are so small. It's hard to certainly deny that something does not exist just because we haven't seen it yet.

BTW, we have been discovering new species in the depths of the ocean and we are probably not done yet.

For the record, given the universe is potentially infinite in size, or close to it, I'm sure it's absolutely teeming with life. Absolutely 100% certain to be.

But are some of them visiting Earth? I think that's so unlikely that anyone suggesting it is needs to provide hard evidence. Are these images and videos posted online 'hard evidence'? No, not even close. Therefore it's all BS unless proved otherwise.

Can't see the relation to UFOs, nevertheless I feel oblidged to churn in regarding "over"population:

what are you actually talking about?
that we don't produce enough food?
that more people means using more natural resources, causing more pollution?
that more poor people means more people that want a fair share of the wealth which is concentrated in the hands of a few and that, we being the few, a need to protect our privilege?

That may all be true, but most of that food is now grown using horrendous factory farming methods which are having huge environmental effects. We may be able to feed everyone on the planet (for now), but more people =

More environmental pollution
More noise
Less space
Rising crime
Damage to the climate via greenhouse gas emissions
Fewer habitats and resources for other species, leading to mass extinctions
Less water
More conflict between nations for resources
More mental stress
More epidemics and pandemics
A degrading quality of life for all but the richest

Etc. etc.

We're already living in what many scientists consider to be the sixth era of mass extinction on earth. And unlike all the other's, this one has been caused exclusively by humans, rather than natural events: basically climate change and loss of habitat.

Take England for example: 600 years ago, we had a population of about 4 million and the country looked like a paradise, with huge swathes of pristine forest, teeming with wildlife. Now we have 67 million people and it looks like a car park.
