the quality of these images, and those i continually get with my x100, is simply astounding. no offense to anyone, but you can keep your 'crom-i-lux-tar-i-pre asph-post apocalyptic-sham a lang a ding dongs, and i'll keep shooting this little jewel. ):

i made this shot this evening while deer hunting. no buck to shoot with my rifle, but there was some nice light for the x100.
velvia/iso 200 settings, f5.6 or f8.

Hey Koven.. do you use a film filter on your photos? (like alien skin exposure or something) All of your pics seem to have a nice film look to them.

I don't get how e.g benjamin oliver's images look really sharp while some from the others dont really look sharp at all?

I just play with the white balance and sometimes add grain. I use photoshop CS5 and light room 3.

do y'all sharpen your basic shots? i can see some difference in my laptop if i hit magnify. can y'all see any difference here?

I can't seem to upload to threads due to some glitch, but the X100 did well photograping a relatives horses. It did much better with moving targets, set to burst and prefocused, than when they were static.

This was one from a 5fpd burst, motion panned at 1/125 for slight movement, with the ND filter engaged to allow for a middling aperture.
