Thanks.
I do my jpg conversion in Capture One. After working on the images in color, I do a B&W conversion with Silver Efex Pro.

a few first peaks from my recent trip to my good old lake geneva.
I shot the Ms mostly but did take out the x100 from time to time as well. again, great camera, these are merely out-of-camera black&white jpgs (M-size) that I quickly ran through silverefex.

I'll post a proper series with digital and film shots on flickr, have to start scanning though (and continue developing).

Besides being a lovely photograph, your comment "not a spec of digital noise to clean up" is interesting.

Buried in Fuji's marketing material on the X100, they mention a great deal of design effort was invested in removing heat from the sensor. I suspected the X100's outstanding signal-to-noise is partly due to keeping the sensor region as cool as possible. Your observation about low noise for a 30 sec. exposure could be consistent with efficient sensor heat removal.

Nice to see some non 'street' pics Jamie ... after all it is really a landscape camera by nature! :D

Loving that last bunch with the light and sky from Jamie and those tones in yours Keith. I'll keep trying and hope that I'll make a good digital B&W too one day!
