I imported my files into Lightroom and did the B&W conversion in SilverFX. Back in Lightroom, I did minimal touch ups with the exposure adjustment brush. In my experience, it seems as though I need to boost the blacks/increase curves to make the contrast pop from the Fuji Raw files -- more than I usually need to with the files from my Canon. However, the Fuji has greater dynamic range, which may factor into things.

I find the same, regarding contrast adjustment. But, as you say, the Fuji files don't seem to mind the adjustment. 🙂
